Magazine celebrated 26 years in 2005 and to commemorate the honor, they handpicked 26 Most Fascinating Entrepreneurs – “26 entrepreneurs who best exemplified the extraordinary drive, creativity, and passion of American business.” Named among the twenty-six was our very own Victoria Parham, for mentoring military spouses.
Victoria Parham’s flagship company at the time, VSSCyberOffice was awarded a federal government contract to oversee the Department of Defense Portable Careers Training Initiative – Virtual Business Owners (VBO). An online training program for military spouses who were interested in starting, growing, and managing an online virtual company in cyberspace. Victoria and her team successfully trained over 2000 participants from 2002 – 2007.
In 2006, Victoria forged into new territory when she launched an online talk radio show podcast called Military Spouse Talk Radio, an upbeat 30 minute Internet-based talk show for and about military spouses.
While most of her guests consisted of awesome military spouses who spoke very candidly about their lives and careers, she was also honored to have special guests like: General George W. Casey & his wife Mrs. Sheila Casey, Mrs. Alma J. Powell, wife of former Secretary of State General Colin Powell.
Other featured guests included: Kathyrn Troutman, Federal Resume Expert and President of The Resume Place and Military Corporate Career Network (MCCN) President, Deb Kloeppel.
