Several years ago I managed a larger scale administrative support contract, virtually. There were four companies, one contract, and we each lived in different time zones.
This presentation by Swiggle reminded me of some of the challenges we endured / overcame (technological mostly). Remote teams and virtual work is more common today than say five or ten years ago and the evolving technology makes connecting across time and space a breeze.
Trying to build team trust and group cohesiveness when you’re states or even time zones a part can take some trial and error but it can be done and done successfully.
