25 Life Lessons I’ve Learned

By Victoria at February 24th, 2010

Life at forty isn’t so bad ….

Self Assured
  1. Slow down and enjoy life.
  2. Life is an educational journey; I’m learning to enjoy the trip and not take everything so seriously.
  3. Sweating the small stuff, exhausts way too much of my energy.
  4. Make time for the people I love and adore because life is short.
  5. I admit when I’m wrong and I move on.
  6. I can’t please everybody, all the time, so I stopped trying.
  7. Real friendships endure the tests of time.
  8. No book can teach me how to raise good kids, I can only do the best I can.
  9. For every setback in my life, it’s been a setup for my comeback.
  10. In business, it really isn’t personal, it’s business.
  11. If I do what I love, the rest will come.
  12. One opportunity can open the door to many opportunies.
  13. Competition is good for business.
  14. Learning to laugh at myself is a good thing.
  15. Never make life changing decisions when you’re upset or in a crisis.  You’re sure to regret it later on.
  16. Treat others with respect and dignity.
  17. Clients love when you genuinely lend them your professional ear.
  18. Don’t duplicate what others are doing, find your niche and blossom in it.
  19. If you don’t take time to care for yourself, your body will begin to do weird things.
  20. Things will not always turn out the way you planned and that’s ok.
  21. Promise only what you know for sure you can deliver and then over deliver.
  22. Never compromise your integrity.
  23. It’s ok to reward yourself for your hard work.
  24. Don’t foget to tell those who supported and helped you along the way Thank You.
  25. Slow down and enjoy life.
